This route of around 50 km links four architectural treasures of the canton of Vaud. Mainly following the Lake Geneva Route, the ride is almost entirely flat and perfectly suited to all types of bikes, ideal for a relaxing day out or a cultural outing with friends or family.
Each castle tells a different side of Vaud’s history :
- In Nyon, dive into the town’s Roman and medieval past.
- In Prangins, explore the Swiss National Museum and its magnificent kitchen gardens.
- In Coppet, follow in the footsteps of Madame de Staël, woman of letters and leading figure of Romanticism.
- In Morges, discover the Vaud Military Museum and enjoy the panoramic view of Mont Blanc.
The route often runs along the lake, past vineyards, picturesque harbours and beaches, with superb views of the French Alps.
You can ride the full round trip or choose just a section : the SBB rail line serves every stage, and CGN boats offer an alternative way back from Nyon or Morges.
