Overview

The Signal de Bougy is the highest point in the hills above Bougy-Villars, in the canton of Vaud, between Geneva and Lausanne. It is renowned for its panorama over Lake Geneva and the Alps. As early as the 17th century, the traveller Jean-Baptiste Tavernier compared this view to that of the Bosphorus in Constantinople.

Since 1971, the site has been home to the Pré-Vert park, a 110-hectare leisure park. It is one of Migros’s five parks in Switzerland and the only one in French-speaking Switzerland. Access to the main park is free, while some activities are charged.
