Overview
CACY, the Yverdon-les-Bains Contemporary Art Centre, occupies a former grain market built in the second half of the 18th century. Converted into a municipal gallery at the end of the 20th century, the venue began its third life in 2013 when the centre opened.
It is located in the vaulted halls of the administrative building on Place Pestalozzi, listed as a cultural property of national importance. CACY is the first contemporary art centre in the canton of Vaud. It operates as a laboratory for art in the making.

What to see and do
The centre hosts temporary exhibitions showcasing contemporary artistic positions that are by turns romantic, ironic, critical or politically engaged. The works on show span a variety of media : drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and video.
Exhibitions are often thematic and explore current issues in contemporary art. They bring together emerging artists and established creators from Switzerland and abroad.
The building’s stone vaults give the exhibitions a distinctive atmosphere, creating a dialogue between architectural heritage and contemporary creation. The centre also runs participatory educational projects with Yverdon’s schools and their pupils.
